How About That Bacon and Scrambled Eggs

Last week I made some bacon and eggs...the knitted/crocheted kind.

During the 2009 Central Kansas Yarn Shop Hop I stopped by Yarn (the store) in Hutchinson, Kansas and picked up their Bacon and Eggs Dishcloth kits (pattern and yarn included) and last week I knitted them up.

 

The egg whites are knitted from white acrylic yarn and the yolk was crocheted from a long strip of yellow tulle.

The bacon was knit with pink, brown and white cotton. The pattern told me how to do the 1st strip and begin the second, but the rest was free form.

And here they are together. The boyfriend wishes that I would make him some real bacon and eggs, but this is cuter and it will last longer. They are wayyy too cute to use on my dirty dishes!
