AKA. Stylein'

Previously on Project Runway All Stars Nina Garcia returned to the runway to introduce this week's challenge. Nina informed the judges that five StyleHaul vloggers (video bloggers) from all over the country were being flown in to be inspiration and models for the designers and the designers were to create a look incorporating Pantones 2014 color of the year, "Radiant Orchid" and the look should be indicative of what trends the designers think will be trending in 2014.  On the judging panel, Nina Garcia filled in for Georgina Chapman and she was joined by Christian Siriano and designer Francisco Costa (as well as Alyssa Milano and Isaac Mizrahi). Let's take a look at the designs.

Seth Aaron created a color-blocked sheath dress with leather sleeves. While his look was very chic, well made and wearable, Isaac said "it's not a lasting image." Seth Aaron was safe this week.

Elena's structured peplum jacket had some really cool texture and print, but the size of the peplum totally swallowed up Elena's shorter model. The judges were also conflicted about Elena's look, but in the end decided to keep her safe.
Elena
Korto opted to create something different from the other designers and made a white pants suit with pops of "Radiant Orchid" peeking through the vents. On the runway Korto said that she wanted to shy away from the "color on crack" she'd been seeing on the racks in years past. The judges criticized her neon bag pairing, but all praise her outfit. Korto is this week's winner.

Christopher attempted to combine romance and military together with his green lace trench dress and "Radiant Orchid" bag which he called "new vintage Paris soft military" but apparently only Isaac understood the reference. Nina said that she though the green lace resembled seaweed and not in a good way and Alyssa was offended that the only use of "radiant Orchid" was in the bag. I thought Christopher might be going home this week, but Christopher was safe.

Viktor created a black dress with cuts and rivet holes that reveal hints of "Radiant Orchid" underneath and paired it with a white leather jacket to give his vlogger a cool and casual style. But, the judges felt that the jacket muddled the proportions of the look. Viktor was sent home this week.

I thought Korto had the most interesting look and deserved the win this week, but I thought Christopher should have gone home over Viktor because of his minimal use of "Radiant Orchid" and the fact that his strange color palette and style mash-up just didn't work. Oh well!

We're getting closer to the Project Runway All Stars finale with four designers left and a ready-to-wear challenge next week. I'd like to see Korto, Seth Aaron and Elena as the final 3.

Did you catch this week's episode? What did you think of the judges top and bottom picks? Who do you want to win? Let me know in the comments below.
