Before Joan Rivers was a fashion critic, a plastic surgery maven, and the queen of revamping her career, Joan Rivers was a stand-up comedian and she was fabulous at it- quickly becoming a favorite on the night time television circuit and appearing on the "Ed Sullivan Show" 21 times from 1966 to 1971 alone.
