Happy 4th of July

Or as I like to call it- happy 5 day countdown to my birthday!

In honor of Independence Day, I decided to try out a Sally Hansen Salon Effect's nail kit in "You're A Star" (does that name remind anyone else of the movie Boogie Nights). The kit came with pretty much everything I needed (it had an orange stick and a nail file. scissors and nail polish remover not included). I just peeled off the nail polish like a sticker, applied them to my nails, smoothed the sticker with my orange stick and trimmed and filed off the excess. Afterwards I applied 2 coats of a clear Top Coat. I did get a few tiny lumps and ridges in my polish during the application and my active lifestyle caused some of my paint to chip off within the first and second days, but overall I'm pretty happy with how my nails look.

Does anyone know why the package comes in packs of 16 nail applications!? Last time I checked, most people had 10 fingers, so there's only enough polish for 1.5 applications. Weird. Have you tried Sally Hansen's Salon Effects? What did you think of the product?

*Note: I was in no way compensated for my discussion of Sally Hansen's nail product. I simply wanted to show off my nails.
