What I'm Listening To: Dry The River- New Ceremony

Saturday, March 31, 2012

This week, I was listening to my favorite radio station, NPR (All Things Considered), when I heard Robert Siegel and Melissa Block interviewing a British band that recently played at SXSW, Dry the River, as music played from their soon-to-be-released-in-the-U.S. album "Shallow Bed". And let me tell you kiddos, I think we will all be hearing a lot more from this band in the future. Check out their music video above, and if you're interested you can find the NPR story on the band here. As always, feel free to leave your comments below.

  1. it's really great to hear a band that shines among such a popular style nowadays. The folksy-rock movement has been rapidly increasing with bands like Mumford and Sons on the billboard charts and Boy & Bear at #1 in australia... it can no longer be ignored! Dry the River deserves recognition for doing what others are doing... but so much better. I have high hopes for this band and expect to see a copy of their record in all my friend's vinyl collections. I'll be seeing them live in SD in about a week... man, oh man i can't wait!
