I wish I was actually singing in the rain in this picture! We have been in the middle of an unbearable heat wave for several weeks now with no rain in sight. This weekend I decided to beat the heat by checking out my local musical theater group's performance of Singing in the Rain. It was fabulous and funny and I wanted to steal all of the 1920s era costumes and take them home with me. During the performance I got super excited when I thought I heard the sound of thunder outside, only to realize that I was just hearing the sound of "stage thunder" in preparation for the "Singing in the Rain" song performance. *sigh* I decided to dress up for the show and I got several compliments on my dress. And lucky for you, I decided to brave the 111 degree temperatures so that I could share my outfit with you.
