Those of you who subscribe to my Facebook page or Twitter feed may have noticed that I have been posting a lot of weird comments such as "@blogilates Day 17 complete"  and you may be scratching your head going "what the heck is blogilates"? Blogilates is a free online pilates workout program hosted by Cassey Ho. The program features online fitness routine videos on YouTube that you can do from home; an online fitness community where Cassey share's inspirational stories, recipes, and gives workout commands; and you can subscribe to a monthly workout calendar and meal plan. Cassey makes the videos fairly easy to follow and includes modifications for noobs, but what will keep you coming back is Cassey's bubbly personality, and the music she plays (yes, she does take requests).

What prompted me to start working out this month were two things. 1) My husband has got me jogging several times per week to get out of the house and is determined to make a runner out of me. 2) The real kicker was routine physical visit to my doctor. Since I recently moved, I've had to update a lot of my information including my height/weight and whatnot and most of the time I just spout off my weight as being whatever I put on my drivers license several years ago. As I got weighed in for my physical I was not very pleased to hear that I actually weight 10 pounds more than what I had been putting on my documentation. So that's what prompted me to get my butt in gear and try to get my weight and health back to something I'm more comfortable with. And I'm happy to report that by exercising 5-6 times per week for about 1 hour, watching what I eat and keeping track of my food with My Fitness Pal, I've lost 5 lbs. this month! I'd like to loose 15-20 lbs more by this summer.

Have you tried blogilates? If not, what are you waiting for? Do you have any fitness goals this year? Let me know in the comments below.
