Fohr Card

Wednesday, April 24, 2013
Hey readers! I just wanted to let you know that I just got an invitation to join Fohr Card. Don't worry if you're not sure what that is- I had to google it myself to find out what it is. Basically, Fohr Card was  created by Holly Stair and Rich Tong who worked together on some Tumblr Fashion Week projects. They were frequently getting calls wanting to enlist bloggers to help with projects so they wondered why there wasn't a database of bloggers available online so that companies could seek out bloggers in one place.  The pair got together with James Nord and thus, Fohr Card was created.

How it works
In order to be a part of the blogger database you have to receive an invitation. Then you create a profile of your blog's information by linking your blogs social media information (Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Google Analytics and Instagram accounts) to the site. The site then creates a sort of online baseball card of your blog's stats which can then be viewed by businesses, companies, brands or PR firms who subscribe (weekly or monthly) to the site so that these companies can match bloggers to their projects. So this site helps bloggers who don't have connections to businesses and companies get seen by businesses and companies.
